At The Blackeye Rugby Fund, our mission is simple:
To help ensure the future sustainability of rugby at every level.

How do we do this?
Our aim is to provide help to the rugby community, that being current or former rugby players, coaches or administrators (both professional and amateur) who may have fallen into ill health (physical or mental) or may be suffering the consequences of a serious injury, irrespective of the circumstances under which, such illnesses or injuries might have occurred.
We also aim to promote and protect physical and mental health through the funding of relevant medical research and by supporting related initiatives that aim to reduce risk and make the sport of rugby safer.
We'll help the community in a number of ways, including:

Recovery
- Assisting to alleviate the consequences of injury and aid recovery
- The provision of financial assistance to relieve hardship
- Giving support through education and providing practical advice
- Direction to other relevant organisations and charities where necessary.

Research
- Funding for medical research & development that may assist in lowering risk and improving recovery

Reducing Risk
- Exploring new and innovative protections against future injury
- The provision of financial support to establish, improve, develop or repair vital facilities required for the safe participation in the sport
How we are funded
We receive funding from a variety of sources, including from public & corporate donations and events.
The Blackeye Rugby Fund is also supported by Blackeye Gin “The Unofficial Spirit of Rugby” embracing the values that the fans share with a relevant, exciting new brand that gives back to the game they love.
